"had my dates wrong......" Oct 18, 2010 | Trip type: Family

After a 10 day vacation in Disneyland, I had booked what I thought was the last night stay of our trip. We arrived at 11:00 pm, pouring rain, family of 7. As it turned out, I had booked the wrong date.......and they were sold out! Nancy at the front desk was AMAZING! She made about 5 calls before she found us a hotel with vacancy and arranged for the other hotels shuttle to come and pick us up:) We were saved. I have stayed here many times as well and has always been GREAT! Thanks

"Nice enough place" Oct 3, 2010 | Trip type: Couples

Got a really good deal when I picked up 2 rooms, with king-sized beds and "over-sized" jacuzzi tubs, by getting them a couple of months in advance. The location was great, as it was close to the venue we were in town to see. Reception was friendly and efficient. Housekeeping was fine and the rooms were nice. Quite roomy with plush carpeting. The beds were very comfortable and the tv was a nice, newer flatscreen. There's a small fridge, as well. The bathroom was large, too. Very nice. While our room had a slightly-larger-than-average tub, it really wasn't any big deal. The jets didn't have any real power, either. The other room, however, had a really nice walk-up tub. Smaller sitting area. Personally, I would have rather had the better tub.

"Suited our Need to be near the Airport" September 25, 2010

We stayed here one night on our way back from Toronto in order to catch a plane to Honolulu the next morning. It was adequate, but not fantastic. Rooms are getting old and tired, but we quite enjoyed our evening meal in their restaurant made even better by the good, cheerful service. Have to say though, we did not enjoy breakfast! Lightweight disposable plates and cutlery just does not cut it with me! That was a huge letdown and I think they need to do something about that. I would not stay here again unless they used proper plates and cutlery. The breakfast area was also pretty dingy and uninteresting.

"bien et bon" August 23, 2010

l'hotel a belle allure.

"Gracious hotel,--a touch of the old world, great food, and reasonable prices" Aug 23, 2010 | Trip type: Business

My husband and I stayed two nights at the Abercorn while in Richmond on business. The location is handy to the airport, with lots of shopping and dining options in the immediate vicinity. The Abercorn is a charming older hotel with all the modern conveniences. Our room was comfortably furnished with a wingchair and ottoman and a round work table

"Conveniently located, friendly staff" Jul 8, 2010

Stayed here for 5 nights with a group of 20 people. Their Sales Manager, Meggy Ho, was very helpful in working with the group in giving us a fair room rate and in finding us a reasonably priced tour company. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed their amenities: fitness center, complimentary breakfast, free internet, free local calls, free shuttle

"Comfortable & convenient - a great Best Western" Jun 14, 2010 | Trip type: Couples

Stayed with my husband and also friends who were flying out early from the airport the next day. Everything you need is here - restaurant, breakfast, business centre, wireless, nice little pub with a great atmosphere, clean, updated, and a shuttle to the airport. Can't beat it for location, value and price. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and again.

"good value for money" May 18, 2010

The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous. Rooms comfortable and reasonably priced. Highly recommend if you are needing to be near the airport in Vancouver. I did notice that the rooms here, like other hotels I have used in Vancouver are very dry and hot at night.

"Great Hotel!!" calgary Feb 2, 2010 | Trip type: Family

We stayed at this Hotel in July 2008. The Hotel has a nice look. The room was rather small but very clean and so was the bathroom. The continental breakfast was pretty good. The wife and kids loved it. Definitely would stay there again.

"Very convienient location!" Dec 25, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed her for one night because we had to catch a ferry from Tsawassan the next morning. It was very conveinent and the staff was very friendly. Nothing special about the hotel itself, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was okay, and the hotel has some nice amenities. I would consider staying here again

"Clean & Convenient" Nov 28, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Stayed here one night after arriving on a late evening flight from San Francisco. Check in was a breeze, the room was very clean and comfortable. A complimentary buffet breakfast is available, which was quite good, and included hot and cold items. The hotel is just a few minutes drive from the airport, and there is ample free parking

"Superior non-fancy airport motel" Aug 16, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

Excellent airport motel, much better than Coast Airport, for instance. Had second floor room facing main road. Quiet. Very large room, lots of space for luggage and reading even with two large double beds. Huge, clean, well-supplied bathroom. Excellent front desk staff. Very nice self-serve junior buffet breakfast: hot boiled eggs, bacon, plus all the usual cold stuff and beverages

"Family friendly and affordable place to stay" Aug 9, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Location is very convenient to airport, Costco just right across the street, and just few blocks away from all the authentic Chinese restaurants in Richmond. Guest room is very clean and cozy and crib is provided free of charge upon request. Complementary breakfast is all you can eat with varieties of choices to choose from. Free parking and WiFi

"Good value" May 25, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Stayed one night after a cruise and was pleasantly surprised. Low rise building that appears to have been redecorated. Everything clean and bathroom modern with lots of goodies on the counter. In room coffee/tea, good sized under counter refrigerator, iron and ironing board. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast and free shuttle to airport included.

"Pleasant and Convenient" Apr 13, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed at the Abercorn because we could leave our car while we flew off to Mexico for a worry-free holiday. Some of the reviews made us nervous, but we likes the price and location so gave it a try. We found the hotel to be comfortable and the staff pleasant and efficient. We had a meal and some drinks

"Can't go too far wrong" Mar 10, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel

Stayed here a few times, generally no bad surprises. Comfy pub with friendly service good place for dinner and a beer. Internet seems to work properly so far. A wee bit pricey depending on current rates, but it is a better hotel than several of its neighbours. (Sandman, for example) Quaint appearance, ample parking outside.

"Flughäfennähe" Jun 10, 2009

Gutes Hotel wenn man in der Nähe des Flughafens übernachten möchte Matratzen sind leider viel zu weich
