"Great Hotel!!" calgary Feb 2, 2010 | Trip type: Family

We stayed at this Hotel in July 2008. The Hotel has a nice look. The room was rather small but very clean and so was the bathroom. The continental breakfast was pretty good. The wife and kids loved it. Definitely would stay there again.

"Very convienient location!" Mill Creek, Washington Dec 25, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed her for one night because we had to catch a ferry from Tsawassan the next morning. It was very conveinent and the staff was very friendly. Nothing special about the hotel itself, but it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was okay, and the hotel has some nice amenities. I would consider staying here again

"Do Not Leave Your Car Here" Vancouver Dec 11, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed one evening at the BW Abercorn Inn with the incentive that we could park our car in their parking lot. Be advised that it is not patrolled and the Inn does not respond to theft and damage. Our car was broken into and the thieves stole about $800 worth of clothes and incidentals.

Management response from Christopher Mis, General Manager

Dear Guest, The Abercorn Inn deeply regrets your recent experience with us while taking advantage of the parking offer, while you were on vacation. We too would be distressed to return from vacation to this situation. Further to our conversation over the phone, last week, should you have any further questions or concerns, I would invite you contact me directly

"Clean & Convenient" Melbourne, Australia Nov 28, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Stayed here one night after arriving on a late evening flight from San Francisco. Check in was a breeze, the room was very clean and comfortable. A complimentary buffet breakfast is available, which was quite good, and included hot and cold items. The hotel is just a few minutes drive from the airport, and there is ample free parking

"Superior non-fancy airport motel" Nanjing, China Aug 16, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

Excellent airport motel, much better than Coast Airport, for instance. Had second floor room facing main road. Quiet. Very large room, lots of space for luggage and reading even with two large double beds. Huge, clean, well-supplied bathroom. Excellent front desk staff. Very nice self-serve junior buffet breakfast: hot boiled eggs, bacon, plus all the usual cold stuff and beverages

"Family friendly and affordable place to stay" Monterey Park, California Aug 9, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Location is very convenient to airport, Costco just right across the street, and just few blocks away from all the authentic Chinese restaurants in Richmond. Guest room is very clean and cozy and crib is provided free of charge upon request. Complementary breakfast is all you can eat with varieties of choices to choose from. Free parking and WiFi

"Good value" Honolulu May 25, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

Stayed one night after a cruise and was pleasantly surprised. Low rise building that appears to have been redecorated. Everything clean and bathroom modern with lots of goodies on the counter. In room coffee/tea, good sized under counter refrigerator, iron and ironing board. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast and free shuttle to airport included.

"Pleasant and Convenient" Canada Apr 13, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We stayed at the Abercorn because we could leave our car while we flew off to Mexico for a worry-free holiday. Some of the reviews made us nervous, but we likes the price and location so gave it a try. We found the hotel to be comfortable and the staff pleasant and efficient. We had a meal and some drinks

"Can't go too far wrong" Calgary Mar 10, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel

Stayed here a few times, generally no bad surprises. Comfy pub with friendly service good place for dinner and a beer. Internet seems to work properly so far. A wee bit pricey depending on current rates, but it is a better hotel than several of its neighbours. (Sandman, for example) Quaint appearance, ample parking outside.

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Abercorn" Burlington, Ontario Sep 10, 2008 | Trip type: Couples

On a recent vacation to Vancouver BC we had the pleasure of staying at the Abercorn Inn for 6 nights. The building's classic English tudor style was a step back in time...cosy and comfortable. The service was friendly, the morning buffet was excellent and the dinner menu specialized in a dozen or so excellent entries (try the stuffed trout).

“loved it” richmond Aug 27, 2008 | Trip type: Solo travel

we often need a room near the airport in vancouver and over the years have found the staff and food at the Abercorn to be great value. our rooms are always clean and the staff are getting to know me now and often offer a free room upgrade when ever they can. The free shuttle is a big plus

“Nice Clean Hotel” Columbus, OH Jun 29, 2008

A nice clean hotel near the Vancouver airport. Very easy access to the airport from the hotel. We stayed here one night on our way home from an Alaskan cruise that ended in Vancouver BC. We found the hotel to be clean and in a good location. The hotel is old but seems to have been remodeled at some point

“Exceeded Expectations” Miami May 8, 2008

Close to Vancouver airport, decent room, very nice complimentary breakfast ,and free wireless. A variety of restaurants are a short drive away. Hotel cost was reasonable. What more can you ask for.

“false advertising, not flexible” california May 6, 2008 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel

The wireless internet access was spotty and frequently did not work. The hotel says that there is wireless access in the rooms. Not true. The business center was a joke. Just a computer and printer in the lobby. Lastly, when I asked about a two hour late check out I was told I was told that was not possible.

“surprisingly good!” alberta Apr 2, 2008 | Trip type: Couples

We were booked to splurge on the Fairmont at the airport which we loved, but a moment of frugal thinking made us change our mind and looked on Expedia for a cheaper alternative. We were surprised at this little gem. The rooms were small, and a bit dated, but they were clean, and the internet access was free and fast

“Poor Service” Portland, OR Mar 24, 2008

Room service food was prepared poorly - the main course of fish was mysteriously smothered in chocolate sauce. I was unable to get the TV to work properly, and the front desk staff was unwilling to assist. I tried to reconcile a problem with the billing for a movie, and the front desk person lectured me about hotel profitability

“Bad service, room small, noise pollution from airplanes” Singapore May 25, 2007 | Trip type: Family

We were booked into this hotel by our travel agent. Upon arrival, we had problems checking into the hotel as there was a mix up over our last names. The staff present was less than helpful and insisted that we did not have any reservations. We told her that this is unlikely

“a good airport hotel” NORTHUMBERLAND, ENGLAND Sep 5, 2006 | Trip type: Family

We booked this as we were arriving late into Vancouver after a long flight from Europe. The courtesy coach was prompt and efficient. Check-in was polite and helpful and the restaurant staff went out of their way to accommodate us explaining that our 8 yeard old daughter could'nt sit in the bar area or nearby because of licensing laws but

“Close to airport” Hastings UK May 18, 2006

We booked this hotel for 1 night only as it was close to the airport, as we were going to fly in late and didn't want to pick up the hire car late at night then search for our main hotel which was in Burnaby. The room was large and well furnished although it did smell a bit musty

“Just Like Home” Lincolnshire, UK. Jun 29, 2005

If you're looking for luxury, the Abercorn Inn is not for you - but who wants to visit western Canada and spend their time in a hotel, lazing around a swimming pool? However, if you're looking for a comfortable base with great food, excellent staff and a homely atmosphere, this is certainly the place to be! The food - delicious

“Good hotel at a good price” Flintshire UK Jun 17, 2005

Stayed at the end of May this year. Very pleasant hotel. Good clean spacious rooms. Ample parking spaces. Friendly helpful staff. Free breakfast is a very much grander affair than the normal ‘free’ buffet breakfast – waitress service. Breakfast voucher can also redeemed against the cost of a full breakfast. Both Restaurant and pub serve good food

“Quaint Scottish Themed Hotel” Devonport, Australia
Oct 14, 2004

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night at the end of September 2004. Located in Richmond, near the Vancouver International Airport, this hotel is slightly cheaper than the downtown Vancouver hotels. Its near proximity to the airport is a plus, and they have a complimentary shuttle that can take you to the airport.

“Flughäfennähe” An Expedia Traveler Jun 10, 2009

Gutes Hotel wenn man in der Nähe des Flughafens übernachten möchte Matratzen sind leider viel zu weich

“flughafennah, wenig sauber” Kassel Jul 13, 2008 | Trip type: Family

Zimmer geräumig aber dunkel, kein Verkehrslärm bei geschlossenem Fenster, dafür Klimaanlage laut, unter das Bett haben wir zum Glück erst kurz...

“Alles gut” An Expedia Traveler Oct 11, 2007

In der Nähe des Flughafens, mit kostenlosem Flughafenshuttle, riesiger Badewanne mit Stöpsel und immer inklusive Frühstück. Verkehrsanbindung in die Innenstadt...
